During a press conference with Gov. Greg Abbott last November, Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. announced it would build a $17 billion semiconductor manufacturing plant in Taylor, Texas.

A report by The Austin Business Journal this past January, as posted on KXAN, stated the city of Taylor had annexed 1,268-acres that will be the future location of Samsung’s six million square foot manufacturing plant.
